Hasty Tasty

Well for long I have been speculating what to do with my career, which by my own admission wasn't going great guns. Making money is another thing, but enjoying your work, yearning for more, challenging and improving on your performance was amiss. To find the missing pieces of this jigsaw puzzle, I dared to break lose. Lets see, how about going abroad and pursuing another MBA. Not many would support this thought, but worth giving a shot anyways. I went ahead with little support and after 3 years in trying, finally got through. Now for the first time I had the problem of plenty (or at least one). TiasNimbas Business School, Holland. Don't blame you if you haven't heard of the name before. Its an average institute by any stretch of imagination.

Now thats a tough call. After having done an MBA already, how much sense would it make to pursue MBA from another average B-School. Even when I got the admission letter from the University, I wasn't really over the moon. Rather there was a sense of relief that at least this time I was successful. Taking the plunge wasn't easy. It meant a very heavy investment, something beyond my means and ability. Stretching yourself means, you must be sure about the future returns. This was perhaps the biggest stumbling block. Making a heavy investment without having any surety about the returns.

I interacted with a couple of students from the current batch. Although they appreciated the international flavor and interaction amongst the fellow mates, would that be suffice to take a call in its favor. No one could vouch for a favorable placement, which is the end means of an MBA. Then came this opportunity. Now wouldn't it be a better option to invest in business than in a foreign degree with uncertain returns.

I have now taken a call, a decision which I feel as of now would fulfill my ends just right atleast for now.
